About the author…

I’m a fledgling freelance writer skinny dipping in the cold waters of Lake Inspiration in the shadow of the Great Mountains of Procrastination. Sometimes I manage to wade out and manage a doggy paddle, other times the breaststroke is doable but never the butterfly.

When on shore I do what needs doing to pay the rent. I used to man the kitchens of many a restaurant, now I only make appearances at Chez Moi.

Theatre reviews are something I do alongside insightful articles on all things food and sometimes they’re published in The Australia Times.

My short stories have been published, look there’s one over here.

Currently working on a personal memoir of my exotic and quite unique life so far, a taste of which can be found in this blog.

If you would like to know more leave a comment and I’ll get back to you in the fullness of time.

  1. Hi Dorje –

I like the animalist side – it’s your fluffy soft centre releasing – the film reviews sound good – I’m finding I can’t take most films seriously anymore, the supposedly good ones that is. The lead guy in District 9 was a hoot and his accent sounded like Inner City Dublin like when he said ‘fooking this and fooking that’. I thought ‘The Hurt Locker’ was very realistic and very watchable about exploding mines in Iraq. I saw ‘Creation’ today with Paul Bettany as Darwin struggling with his family crises and his religious wife’s scruples regarding his ‘The Origin of Species’ work – the central drama wasn’t really that rivetting and others threads were facets and not fleshed out. But ‘Julie and Julia’ with Meryl Streep in extraordinary accent mode was most enjoyable – homey – and I wanted to go home and cook loads of delicious cakes! Looking forward to your next blog – R

  2. Hi, I was just wondering if you had the copyright for the photo of pottery shards on your post from 19 January 2015 (I know it’s a bit random). I’d like to use the image but wanted to check with you first. Thanks!
